Virtual fitting : a new shopping experience

La Redoute was awarded the Trophée d’Or in the “Supplier/Retailer Collaboration” category at the Nuit du Commerce Connecté for its virtual fitting service, deployed with Veesual. This innovation, based on AI (Artificial Intelligence) to generate images, enables customers to discover the fashion collections by creating mix&match looks on different mannequins, representing different morphologies. This fun, intuitive and innovative experience not only boosts conversion, but also addresses the issue of inclusiveness.

 

After two conclusive tests in 2022, one on swimwear and the other on women’s ready-to-wear, this selection aid is being rolled out in France for women’s ready-to-wear (own brands and swimwear). The experiment is currently being rolled out to our subsidiaries in the UK and Spain, which have already been involved in various tests. It will shortly be rolled out in Belgium, Portugal and Switzerland. Deployment in Russia is currently being studied.

 

Offering a new online shopping experience

“With this shopping aid, we want to offer our customers a more personalised shopping experience, closer to the one they have in shop. And of course, we also want to offer a more differentiated experience. We have drawn on the lessons learned from last year’s tests to go even further. Customers can now refine their selection by style, by choosing either Trendy or Iconic items. They can also complete their look by adding bags, shoes and even jewellery!  Over the course of the year, we’ll also be launching special events, such as the ceremony, the bath or the summer suitcase ” Sandra Watteau – e-shop manager
